WE LOVE HIJAB LOVES : TOP FASHION TRENDS OF 2008

From now until the end of the year, I’ll be counting down ten of my top fashion trend favorites of 2008. Starting with the Purple Trend.

From almost-blue to bright lavender, the many shades of purple denote a feeling of richness that is hard to resist. It’s one of my favorite colors and when done in an airy, feminine dress like the one above, purple is a regal addition for any sister who rocks hijab with style.

For the outfit, I chose gray plaid pants, a lightweight gray pashmina hijab, classic black pumps, a cream clutch with gold accents, and a large gold cocktail ring. This look would be perfect for work or Jummah, but hijabis like me would probably wear it any day of the week!
