Just wanted to answer the makeup question.... with hijab, to put it simply, we are not supposed to bring attention to our selves, through makeup or jewelry or elaborate attention-grabbing colors and styles. With hijab, it is supposed to be PRESENTABLE, but not beautiful...because even if our hair is covered and we emphasize our features with make-up, then the purpose of hijab is defeated. :) salaam everyone!
Just wanted to answer the makeup question…. with hijab, to put it simply, we are not supposed to bring attention to our selves, through makeup or jewelry or elaborate attention-grabbing colors and styles.
With hijab, it is supposed to be PRESENTABLE, but not beautiful…because even if our hair is covered and we emphasize our features with make-up, then the purpose of hijab is defeated.

If your face is clean under your foundation (for example), what is the need to go beneath the surface dirt that may be on top of the makeup?
