I too believe full make up is not ok because the water with some make up doesn't touch the skin, but what IS halal is kohl (ithmid) and if u have a concealer handy just to cover the "imperfections" u can always dab on the dots. Fatima ra the daughter of arRasul is known to have worn a bracelet on each wrist because emphasizing femininity (not being like a man) is sooooooo so important. This is the best women of Islam. She is also known to have worn a beige abaya. I myself do wear full make-up unfortunately but I am aware of it being wrong so at least u can ask for forgiveness when u know ur doing something wrong. Long live the hijab!!! May God never let anyone banish it from the people who want to wear it. Hijab IS Islam!!

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu

The style is beautiful, masha Allah. As for the make up: if nail polish must be removed before wudhu since water does not reach the nail through the polish, then surely the same would apply to mascara, which does not allow water to reach the lashes?

Allahu 'alam

Sisters, we really shouldn't be wearing waterproof make up whilst we are praying, because as you can tell from the name, its "Water Proof" which means water will not wash it off. We know that during wudhu we need to wet every single part of our face, including eye lashes - now how can water touch our lashes if we has a thick layer of water proof mascara on? I personally do not think our wudhu is correct if we have our make up on, which will then mean our salah is not done - I would not take the risk.

Allah knows Best

Assalam Aleykoum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh,

I would just like to emphasize that when you make wudhu you have to wash your face. It certainly not need to be a bath but it needs to be done.
Allah in the quran says:
"O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salaah (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to the ankles."Al maedah verse 6
You can't say that is like wiping over the socks because it is a totally different issue.

Allahu 'Alam

Wassalam Aleykoum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh.
