amnawlhEID HIJAB STYLES : AMNA

The Hijabi:
Amna, 24

Location:
Canada

Occupation:
Stay-at-home Mom

The Look:
Maxi dress by Gypsy 05, tee, large bangles, and a fringy hijab.

I love it because…
of the cool blue and green color palette… Very ocean-esque as we move into Fall. BTW: Kudos to Amna’s sister for the lovely photography!

What I’d change…
I like this look, but I’d do one or two things in order to make it a little bit more modest for my taste. I’d either wear a bigger hijab and push down the sleeves on the tee for more body coverage, or I’d wear a cardigan over the dress.

What do you think of this look? Leave a comment to let me know.

This is absolutely stunning!
I love the baby blue color.
reminds me of the sky on a beautiful day
and the scarf matches very nicely
MashAllah!

Looks very cute!…but like you said, needs to be a bit more modest-especially if youre going to want your Eid prayer to be accepted while youre wearing it. The scarf needs to be covering the neck completely and cover the chest since the dress is a little tight. Also the sleeves definetely need to be down to the wrist. But it is a very cute look with some minor adjustments.

You’re right Ismail and I am trying to find an ideal way to display real Muslim women’s fashion without giving creeps the opportunity to misuse the pictures. I am thinking about just cropping out the faces of the women. InshaAllah, I’ll figure it out and thanks for commenting on this issue.

Oooooohhhhhh!!!! so pretty. Love the color combination.

Salam sisters….

I just want to clarify that cardigan (or bigger hijab) is a MUST for this outfit. I was wearing white, long- sleeve cardigan over the dress.
This picture was taken at home so for that reason I took the cardigan off.
thanks
salams

Amna you’re absolutely gorgeous! And I have to agree with the other comments above, your outfit’s blue-green combination is brilliant, it’s just so beachy/refreshing/marine goddess-like =)

moss 02.12.10 at 6:14 pm

forgive me for beiing honest but some of your hijab styles are not fitting with the hijab principle

Isabelle 02.14.10 at 5:59 am

Assalam Aleiykum
Very stunning, i like the way you’ve mixed the colours. Mashalla
Secondly there are no rules how to wear the hijab itself, we wear it for the sake of Allah, no one else. It says cover your chest, “female body parts” and that can be done by wearing a long sleeve cardigan like she mentioned…
Where can i find these?
Jzk sister

This is a super cute look– and for everyone telling this poor girl what she should and shouldn’t do– unless you’re her mother or sister, just quit it. Everyone comes to hijab in their own time, for some it’s in one sweeping movement, for others it’s baby steps. If you really care, pray don’t judge.
