EID HIJAB STYLES : THE FANCY LITTLE DRESS

If you’re anything like me, you’re getting started a little late on your Eid outfit shopping. Over the next few days, I’ll be posting some Eid Hijab Styles that will give you a variety of ideas on how to dress up for the upcoming Eid.

Up first is the Fancy Little Dress. Fancy mini dresses are very pretty and very easy to modify in order to create hijab-approved looks. To create your outfit, choose a fancy dress in a bright color or one that has some sort of embellishment on it. I chose a blush-brown dress that has sequins and ruching detail on it.

Next, throw on a bunch of black! A black hijab, black dress pants, a fancy black shoe, and a black cardigan for arm coverage. Add an interesting cocktail ring and you’re all set.

This is an easy and effortless way to get dressed because you probably already have many of these items in your closet. As always, you can find the featured items in the links section below. – And don’t mind the prices; you can find similar items for any budget at your favorite store or website.

Links:
[1] BCBG Chai Tulle Ruched Party Dress with Sequins, $159.99. [2] Cardigan, $30.73+. [3] Silk Scarf with Beads, $20.90. [4] Pelle Moda Rhine Open Toe Sandal, $77.98+. [5] Diamond and Topaz Cocktail Ring, $229. [6] Straight-Leg Pants, $26.39.

Great idea! even for those of us who can’t afford a whole outfit, just buy the dress!! we all have a pair of black slacks/cardigan/heels.

I’ve recently started wearing the short skirts with the pants under type of styles.. I would just always wear long skirts or abayas. I LOVE these kinds of cute fashionsss!

Thanks :D

Asalamualaikum sister,

As thankful as I am that you have put together a site for muslimahs, I feel that it’s my duty to tell you that many of the items you show on this site cannot be considered suitable, wether worn with a long sleeved cardigan and trousers or not some items are flashy (sequins, diamantes…) and therefore not considered an alternative to the beautiful hijab of our prophet’s wives. A better idea for your site would be to tell muslimah’s what is not suitable as hijab, and many of the actions which nullify the hijab, rather than make our hijab a fashion statement (and imitate the kuffar!). Sisters should be happy to wear plain loose fitting clothing (which does not direct attention to them) surely we wear the hijab to please allah, not to attract the attention of others and please them.

Sister wish you all the best in improving your website, and insha’allah other sisters out there please wear the hijab correctly

this is a response to Tasnim…

Whats rong with having them say what’s GOOD to wear with the hijab? Its not like theyre saying go where tight skinny jeans with a short tight shirt…There are some girls out there that find themselves not comfortable in the hijab, and this website deffently helps them see that hijab is beautiful, both in its modest meaning (and to Allah) as well as fashion. There’s no problem with finding nice shirts to wear and feel pretty, and theres nothing in our religion where it says dont go out for nice clothes and…hmm, how should i put this…feel not pretty about yourself all day.. (I guess) but you know what i mean. When I first went on this website, I fell IN LOVE with the hijab, even more than i did before. I’m guessing you haven’t seen the part of the site (I dont know if they took it off…) but it says.. HIJAB FASHION DON’T. So you’re mistaken there. All of the outfits shown on this site are modest, pretty and beautiful mashallah, and if there is any un-modest or inappropriate piece of clothing, than obviously it is not hijab, and OBVIOUSLY, these people putting outfits on this site know what they’re putting and what they’re talking about (BTW; good job ;)

Anyways, i hope you take this into consideration!

Salam sisters… Yes our clothing should be loose fit – as we are taught to hide the shape of our bodies as they are for our husbands. Yes they shouldn’t attract attention, however we shouldn’t wear full outfits of black – the Prophet peace be upon him didn’t like the colour black – also we’re taught not to immitate the kuffar meaning we shouldn’t wear black because the kuffar wear full black at funerals and times of mourning.
So is it really bad to wear colour – no it isn’t, this idea of wearing black only is from culture.
As for the outfit above, eid celebrations should be segregated so men shouldn’t see you anyway, so when goin2the sisters section wear abaya on top and take it of2reveal ur outfit when u get2the sisters party. : )
