HIJAB FASHION TRENDS : FALL 2009 – NEUTRAL BRIGHTS

It’s finally time for my favorite hijab fashion season – Fall and Winter! As usual, this season features a ton of fashion trends that are appropriate for Muslimahs and the one that I’m covering first is what I like to call the Neutral Brights trend.

The Neutral Brights fashion trend is all about wearing one bright, colorful piece and pairing it with neutral items. For the hijabi version of this trend, I found a jewel-toned teal dress and paired it with neutral trousers. I finished the look with a cream-colored hijab, black ankle-boots, and a pretty cocktail ring. The result is a work-ready look that’s fashionably modest and chic.

What do you think of the Neutral Brights fashion trend?

Love this style.

I’m trying to find a similar top/dress as the one above to use at the Formal Dinner I’m going to, not easy to find in Melbourne, Aust.

Anyone who can assist?

Much Love Khairunnisa

I love the look of a knee-length (or longer) dress with a neutral pant, a pretty shoe, and a neutral or coordinating scarf. I may have to take a trip down to Lane Bryant and see if I can snag something like this look.

I love the color of the dress and the cream colored hijab together.

If I were to wear it inside the house, for example, like a women’s party, I’d wear the dress, but short sleeved, wear skinny jeans, and the hijab would be more decorative, but it would still somehow have the white color in it. I’d wear the scarf in a different way, and wear earrings and the ring to go with it. But that would only be if I were with my muslims sisters only.
=)
Love this look, and every other look you’ve come up with so far. Keep it up!

I love the look. I have never worn teal before, I tend to stick to pinks but now I have to have something in this color. It looks really nice, I love it.

I wore a similar look recently. I found a cute long blue shirt at Wal*Mart for $9 and wore gray pants and black hijab with it. I am all for the neutral bright look!
