abayasetHIJAB STYLE FINDS : ABAYA

If you’ve been looking for a nice abaya that is affordable and pretty, check out East Essence. I found about 60 pretty abaya styles for under $40 each. The abayas that I featured above can be found at the links below and when you get to the site, search “abaya” or “hijabs” and you’ll find all of the other styles that they have. The abayas come in sizes XS-XXXL so inshallah, there’s something for everyone.

I think that I have to get the first abaya that I featured above. What’s your favorite?

Links:
[1] Beautiful Arabian Princess Abaya, $38.38. [2] Abaya 30, $37.18. [3] Shakeel Abaya, $38.38. [4] Aftab Abaya, $39.58. [5] Abaya 6, $39.58.

Yay! I was hoping that somebody had tried their abayas before so that I could know what the quality is like. I will definitely be ordering the Arabian Princess Abaya inshallah. Sera, did you get “Abaya 4″ the cream colored one, or the fourth abaya that I have in the picture for this post?

I have looked at the one you’ve pictured 4th multiple, multiple times. I just think it’s soo pretty! I’m not an abaya wearer, though, so it’d probably just sit in my closet. :/

I love the 3rd one that you’ve posted (although I wish it came in different colours)… I went to check out the East Essence website but it’s not loading… did anyone else have this problem? Thanks sisters!

Maybe they decided to sell on AMZ rather than paying to have their own website anymore? I’m not sure. But, either way, see if there is contact information for them on the site that I linked to and then you can email them directly inshallah. Also maybe you can find a similar style in the color that you want if you search “abayas” on that site.

I bought the 4th abaya in the pictures the two toned blue one. I love it!!! i also ordered a set from them it was a black tunic with white embroidery that came with white pants and a one piece black amira with a white stripe, and this basic brown abaya and i love them too it would be great if the abaya i just got came in different colors its a great ‘basic’ abaya it has pockets too!! and easy to dress up with a nice scarf!

@sera: I just saw the brown one but it looks so tight on the model! How did you figure out which size to buy and did it fit tightly or loosely? I have a feeling that the model was wearing an abaya that was too small for her but then again it could just fit tightly.

Salaam alaikum,
I have ordered from them before.. East of Essence and had to return the stuff due to it being too tight…and I didn’t care for the material but that is just my opinion. They have great customer service though and I am interested in ordering other stuff from them , like the tunics.

sera

well i am skinny…lol but i tend to go for medium or large because i know that they will be looser, even though i can fit a small. I also bought the black one that has the decorated sleeve cuffs that are red with the embroidery around the neck, i got a medium in that and its big!! my only issue is the length i am only 5’4 so 58 inches is a little long for me which is their standard length but they do alter for an extra 2.00. but if you are nervous your regular size would be too tight i would try one size up. but the model might have been wearing one that was her regular size therefore looking tight you know what i mean? im not that curvy so i went for a small in the brown and took 5 inches off the length and its good, not tight or hugging ;) they do have a size chart i think?

i bought 2 tunics from them, i think i could have ordered a size down but theyre so pretty and they were so cheap so u wouldnt think they would be good quality but they are and im definately going to buy from them again

their sizes run small so buy a size up to get it loose. There are issues with the website being slow to load or unable to load at all but keep trying to load it and it will eventually! I bought 2 abayas from them but I thought the fabric material was not that great. Its thin and slightly see thru if its in a light color.

Oh I love the Blue but if that were in Black it would be too gorgegous :)
Thanks for posting

I like the lightweight fabric because i live in florida that blue one was the lightest one i have gotten so far but wasnt transparent i have noticed alot of their shirts lookin a little see thru though

I bought Abaya #4 and I love it. I have also bought at least 5 other abayas from the site and I have gotten compliments on them all. I too bought a size larger than my regular size so it worked out well. I must admit that the shipping is slow but the abayas are good quality. Now the long kurtis, skirts and sets are a different story. I have a few of these and the cotton fabric wrinkles easily and could be more durable. Some are even a little see through. One set I bought ( the one with the long orange shirt) stained when I accidentally spilled lemon juice on myself. Those were the only drawback but I would still recommend their clothing.

I love all of their Abayas, but I heard they were unreliable- and some sisters had trouble with the customer service. The sisters that already ordered here what do you have to say about their shipping and ordering? Was it OK for you? Coz I really wanted to order some, but am afraid to get ripped off or something.
Jazak Allah Khair!

i have ordered from them twice, using my debit card online, never had a problem when it came to that.. the first time i ordered was last year and i got them in a week. i ordered in june of this year and it took about 3 weeks, i was kind of upset and they told me they just have alot of orders, and they gave me a code to get 10% off my next order which pissed my husband off (he is a business man in retail and was more irritated than i was, lol) but i was still pregnant anyway and knew i couldnt wear them right away so i wasnt that upset and with prices like they have i assumed they would have alot of business. anyway the code they gave me was ‘shukran’.. if thats the right way to spell it!! lol!!

Aww thank you girls! Glad you have had good experiences with them. I should be ordering some soon then :)!

I had no trouble with their site today. It’s eastessence.com and they are so affordable, mashallah. I was about to buy a one from aab abayas but they are about $100 each so I think I would rather have about 3 for the same price. And on the website they have an offer for free shipping over $125. that’s probably just for the US sisters though.

YAY you can customize the length too!! I always have a problem with my abayas and dresses being too short so this is really great! Salam Alakum Kima, glad you are back.

IN FACT, they have little girl sizes too!! When I do order, I’m going to order my little princess a matching one. It will be great for the upcoming Ramadan and Eid! Sorry for so many posts, lol, I’m excited!

Did any of you sisters notice that Eastessence.com has started offering custom sizes at $9.99 additiona. that is so cool. I have ordered from them so many times and mashallah they are the best. I had a problem with a delayed order last time in june but they did give me the 10% coupon and yes they did mention that they were very busy. no doubt with their pricing and quality they would have a lot of customers. Also did anyone see their new website. the last website was very slow but this one is very fast and much more nicer. Inshallah will keep buying from them and recommending them.

Ooh, yes, I love their abayas! I have my eye on a few but haven’t ordered yet. I know a few sisters who have and for the price, they say the quality is great!

Salam Alakum Ladies,
Ramadan Kareem. Mazidah, I don’t have your problem being an XS. I wish I did :-).. However you can always get the size closest to your measurements and get in altered and a tailored in your town. I don’t know how petite you are, they have girl sizes too…take your measurements, look at the measurement chart to give you an idea of what size to order .They also offer custom length adjustment for like $2.99 extra. My problem being is being tall and having my dresses, skirts and abayas be long enough….I buy all my Islamic abayas, jelbabs, online, and it is a big problem getting the right fit over online..Sometimes you just have to take a risk…inshaAllah you will find something that fits you good…

thanks maryam for the advise and good idea.this is my first time to try buying jilbab online.usually i will straighly go to boutique to get it.i’m quite afraid to buy online..hehhehehhe..
ya insyallah i will get something good for me…. :)thanx again maryam..

You’re lucky to have a boutique in your town that sells traditional Islamic clothes..I don’t so unless I am traveling I have to order online. Good luck sis!

I bought #1 and I love it. You cannot see through it at all and the decoration is embroidered not ironed on so it is a god quality. The abaya took about 2 weeks, and the matching hijab was only 1 week. So shipping was pretty fast for me.

Yes the abayas look nice but a bit overpriced, and I also prefer to buy from Muslims rather than non Muslims. Many Muslims have hard to keep their business going on so why not support us (muslims)? East essence also own a bikin fabric….just use google with the owners name.

I am most pleased with East Essence, of all the designers mentioned here. I have bookmarked some of their abayas for possible purchase in the future.

I ordered and found their sizing to be really accurate. The quality was also great. I did a recent post about it on my blog.

I really loved my last order from eastessence. I’m a taller than normal woman and they make them in custom length which gave me more than the usual two to choose from. I just ordered a bunch or hijabs are scarfs for the winter season Inshallah I’ll have them before the weekend

Quick question to all sisters who wear abayas: What do you wear inside such that the abaya doesn’t cling onto your legs? Whether it’s a long dress or knee length top with pants, I have problems with them sticking to my pants and revealing my figure (my behind). Also the knee-length tops keep bunching upward and look more like mid-tight length. Any tips? I’m not sure if a slip will do the job. Thanks!

I think a slip works for most people, but it didn’t work to me. Rather than the abaya clinging to me, it actually curls onto the front and starts flapping, which makes it very difficult to walk in. I think this is due to the bust measurements being too big. It’s so difficult to find exactly what you want so I get them custom made which is such a hassle having to go back and forth to the seamstress to tell her the problem and then having to pick it up the next time.
