HIJABS DU JOUR : MINI FLORALS
After an odd week of snow, the air smelled like Spring here on the East Coast today — and that has me in the mood to start talking about Spring fashion trends!
Up first, is the Liberty-like mini floral print trend. What would Spring be without flowers, right? This season designers are using tiny, colorful buds all over everything from dresses to shoes — but if you don’t want to splurge on trendy clothes that you may not wear a season or two from now, you might consider getting your spring fashion fix by purchasing some trendy hijabs.
If your style is very girly, you could wear one of these hijabs with other feminine pieces to create a look that is extra sweet. Or you could wear the hijabs with jeans and a solid top to make a more subtle fashion statement.
Which of the hijabs above is your favorite and would you wear it in an ultra-femme way or more casually?

Love scarf #5. It reminds me of Turkish tesettur fashion. Oh, I would love for tesettur fashion to make its way to the States.
As salaamu alaykum,
@ Diana—> What’s Turkish tesettur fashion? The name alone has my interest piqued! LOL
I can definitely see myself in scarf #1. Ultra-femme was never really me anyways, so I’d more likely dress it casually. Although I think some solid, subtle colors would be best with this scarf, I’d play it up with some nice accessories so as not to look too drab.
Salaam,
I would wear hijab #1 to work with a crisp white button down shirt. A beautiful accent without too much girliness : )
They are all beautiful but I am immediately drawn to #5 as well. I would dress it down with some vintage wash jeans, a long tunic, and some wedges…Man, I must have expensive taste!! It’s $98 , too bad it’s a budget buster.LOL..Nevertheless, just looking at the hijabs is giving me a severe case of spring fever..
5 is my fave. I would pair it with a structured a-line skirt in a solid color, and if I had a purple handbag or purple accessories I would bring them out, too. Dunno what I’d do for a blouse. Maybe a button-up jacket.
These are all really cute though, mash’allah!
I’m in love with #3 & #4.They’re so beautiful! :) epsecially #4 it has flowers, but the black balances it out !
jazakallah.
I loooooove small florals, but to be honest none of these really do it for me. :/
Sister Umm Hazim , selam first of all,
Tesettur is an ultra modern Turkish kind of clothing for hijabis like us. Now, when I say ultra modern don’t think evern for a second it strays off from modesty path. All of the skirts and abayas are floor length and shirts are almost all bellow the knee or a bit above the knee. What is so modern about it is the colors and clothing it self is modern. Just google it and you will be amased…then you will know why I dream of going to Turkey for some shopping. Also, their hijabs are oh sooo feminine and expensive, might I add, but high quality.
I would wear them all!
Hijab #1 is more my style, not too flashy…but unique w/some style.
I Mostly like piece no. 4, it think it’d fit Jeans really alot, and i wear jeans 98% of da times:) there is a way that i once saw on TV, to use a scarf, not as a Hijab but as a BAG!, it was really nice, i think this black one would look so elegant weather as a Bag or wrapped around the neck while wearing the hijab tied to the back and with a Solid colour, of course! wut do you think?!
#1 is really nice, but I can’t stand florals, especially on my head. lol
BISMILLAH IRRAHMAN IRRAHEEM
THIS IS AN EXPLOTATION OF AL-ISLAM AND THIS WEBSITE AUGHT TO BE BANNED THIS IS NOT THE PROPER HIJAB(meaning covering) OF A MUSLIMAH AND YOU WANT US TO DRESS LIKE A KUFFAR WOMAN WITH TIGHT JEANS AND A SIMPLE BLACK SCARF AND YOU CALL THIS HIJAB! HOW DARE YOU, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED READ THE QURAN CORRECTLY THIS MODERSN STUFF ISNT WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSE TO DO! WHAT WAS DEEN AT THE TIME OF OUR BELOVED PROPHET(sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) IS STILL DEEN TODAY! ALLAAH (subhana wa ta ala’s) DEAN HAS NOT CHANGED, HIS WORDS HAVE NOT CHANGED BECAUSE TIME HAS CHANGED! (MODERN NOTHING) I ASK ALLAAH TA ALA THAT HE SHUT DOWN ALL WEBSITES THAT PROPAGATE MUSLIM WOMEN TO DRESS IN SUCH A SICK WAY AUTHUABILLAH! AND THE WOMAN SHOULDNT BE NAKED AND THAT DOESNT JUST CONSIST OF THE SKIN BUT ALSO THE SHAPE OF THE WOMAN, SO WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING????? THIS IS INCORRECT- GO TO SAHIH AL-BUKHARI.COM AND LOOK UP AHADITH ABOUT THE WOMAN NOT JUST SHOWING THE SKIN BUT THE SHAPE OF HER BODY! AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR SALAH??? YOU HAVE TO HAVE A FULL ABAYA TO THE FLOOR TO PRAY AND TO COVER YOURSELVES PROPERLY IN ORDER TO STAND IN FRONT OF YOUR LORD!!!!!!! YOU CANT PRAY WITH TIGHT JEANS OR LOOSE ONES FOR THAT MATTER!!!!! MAY ALLAAH TA ALA HELP US ALL AND GUIDE US AMEEN! WE SHOULD NOT FOLLOW THE KUFFAR IN THIER WAYS, BUT THIS IS WHAT OUR BELOVED RASOOL SAID THAT THE MUSLIMS WILL FOLLOW THE KUFFAR AS TO FOLLOW THEM INTO A LIZARD HOLE!!! AS-SALAAMU ALAYKUM WA RAHMTULLAHI WA BARAKATUH!
aaliyah. one word…
huh??!
how the heck is this website “offensive?” let’s not draw people away from islam!! you are making our faith seem like something exclusive, coercive, and violent. on the contrary; it is better for a woman to dress in an elegant and stylish manner with her hijab because she is one of the main representatives of our religion. and don’t you know that Allah loves beauty and loves for us to be beautiful. please, let’s be more accepting and less critical of our sisters.
and who said any of the clothes on this website are “too tight?” actually, i notice that the clothes featured on this blog are even more conservative than what my mother and I typically wear.
If you don’t like it, you don’t need to read it.
ps. This is a fabulous website and I am really enjoying reading it. In the UK, East is a great store with lots of beautiful tunics and wide legged trousers.
great jod is this website should be.
i really apreciate you who made it.however, veil is no longer something that boundaries us as a women, if the way we use it still properly polite enough.keep going ya ukhti :)
can i make salaah with a long skirt , my body is covered but i just do not have a pants under the skirt ? please help !
@ Zaira: Yes, you can, as long as the skirt is not tight/fitted or see through.
@ Aaliyah-UmmAbdurman:
Just please be quiet and keep ur BS comments to yourself (regarding the crap you wrote about this site). This website has articles that show how NOT TO REVEAL YOUR CURVES!!! What the hell are you reading/looking at?
I suggest you take a look at the website before you insult it. People like YOU are the reason why Islam is considered to be a “terrorist” religion, because you take the LITERAL meaning FOR EVERYTHING when it’s really not meant to be that way.
People in today’s time think we are terrorists and “backward” people because if we present ourselves that way, they will think that about our religion. WE know we are NOT terrorists, WE know we are NOT backwards. WE have to show that we ARE modest, religious, pious and women of a BEAUTIFUL nation–not women from a dark and oppressive religion.
Indeed may ALLAH (swt) help us all in our ways, for we are not perfect.
Assalamu aleykum,
Subhanallah, just can’t believe the comments come from muslim sisters. Just look how offensive and rude you are! answering the comment of sister Aaliyah, who says the truth how bitter wouldn’t it be to your nafs’! What is the purpose of hijab? consealing and covering your beauty from strangers’ eyes, not emphasizing it and showing it every way possible. Wearing a hijab means to be invisible to stranger men, isn’t it? And what does the so called “stylish hijab” suggest us? To beautify yourselves by means of hijab which actually has different aim. This “style” is dictated by western fashion designers-namely kafir fashion. This is the approach of the shaytan from the right side. Just think about how the women of our beloved prophet were dressed? They wore the dresses of taqwa and became those who succeeded. So let’s take them as our models not the kuffar women. Cause hijab is not just about covering our hair. Assalamu aleykum.
I agree with Wafa. Aaliyah is being immeasurably rude, embarrasing, and downright pathetic. Umm Alihan, just…stop. You think that women looking good is the work of the shaytan? You two are really giving Islam a bad name. It is people like you who are making people think Muslims are terrorists that oppress women. Stop thinking we must be as ugly as we can, for fear of attracting men. Get the eff over it and shut up. All the outfits on this website show how NOT to reveal your curves, so i have no idea what the hell Aaliyah is even looking at.
As for praying in abayahs, you don’t have to. As long as your prayer clothes are not tight or see through and cover your whole body, you can pray in them. I prefer to pray in a maxi skirt and a baggy top like a sweatshit. I don’t even own any abayahs, but inshallah when I go visit Jordan, I’ll buy one for Jummah.
I was on this page and loving all these beautiful cloths and scarfs, I must say the blog owner has good taste in Fashion ‘god bless.
But I cannot help but comment Aaliyahs views on this page;
Aaliyah your rude and judgmental comment its not going to make anyone pay attention to what your saying. Before you address anyone with anything you need to take a good look at yourself! You are human just as this sister that created this blog, Is your reality more important then her’s? Doesnt Islam say that you can have a bad “manner” and addressen someone in a bad way without respect? arnt you suppose to be pious and understanding rather than judging and doing something that Allah dislkes attacking people.
Is Islam Judgmental? What gives you the right to judge anyone? Can you guarantee that despite the fact that you follow Quran wa Sunnah that you will enter paradise?
It seems that you have something in common with a lot of so called “righteous” muslims;
always putting themselves in a piedlestall/ making themselves more important and righteous then other muslims and groups and looking down at them as if paradise was in their hands.
God Chooses who to guide, no human does your reality is yours .. other sisters have a diffrent understanding where is the respect?
Also I wish to comment the sisters that attacked Aaliyah:
2 wrong don’t make 1 right, you guys put yourself on the same level as Aaliyah
you threw garbage right back at her.. where is Islam and deen in that? Yeah she was rude and judgemtal but being the same back isnt going to solve anything or is it?
We are human regardless of religion and culture and the fundemental principle in life is atleast respect and humility.. lets remind one another that we are human and nothing more than that.. and that we shall all look at ourselves before addressing anyone at all.
looks like Umm Alihan and Aaliyah-UmmAbdurahman have kicked a nerve with a lot of you.. maybe cause all you women know deep down that these two women are speaking the truth.
and yahto.. what are you talking about.. how by pointing out the correct islamic dress code have they made themselves look more ‘righteous’?
mrs.kellayy .. quit twisting the quran and sunnah to justify your desire to dress like these kafirs.
khansaa, umm alihan and aaliyah need to shut the eff up. seriously go away you backward freaks!!! if you wanna be the plain and ugly extremists you are, go to some other website, not a website run by a good woman who loves God and likes fashion.
ooohhh this is getting heated…aaliyah, umm alihan, and khansaa are being rude, judgemental haram police. anonymous, wafa and mrs.kellayy are excercising their right to be annoyed with aaliyah, umm alihan, and khansaa. No wonder people think Muslims are terrorists! People are rude to their own sisters in God, and women are insisting on withdrawing into complete ugliness and using religion as an excuse! Now, if a woman wants to wear ugly, blechh clothes, that’s her prerogative. But she has no right to tell others to do the same!!! Seriously, stop it, ladies!!
