I have a habit of posting expensive outfits (that I can’t afford!) just because they are pretty. So, I am challenging myself to create outfits that cost $100 or less, TOTAL.
Up first, I’m featuring this Tencel Halawa Dress by Shukr Islamic Clothing that is on sale right now for $60. Okay, I know that I’m over halfway past the budget right now, but as you can see, the rest of the outfit is pretty cheap.
I found the white hijab on the Shukr website as well, and then I added a simple, but cute black shoe, and I even had enough left over to buy this costume ring!
I feel like I cheated by getting the major parts of the outfit from the exact same site, but I was able to get it done with $6.21 to spare!
So how did I do?

I absolutely love this dress, it is what I am looking for (but cant find anywhere :( ) I will probably have to have it tailor made but then i’m not sure what kind of fabric is needed (i dont like the shiny stuff)or how to take the measures…In short :)) I would definitely buy this dress but would probably wear flat shoes with it. im not in love with the t-strap pumps, just not a fan i guess, wish i could show the ones i got on amazon for a similar price, but i dunno how to make websites and blogs and all

beautiful outfit! I loved the $100 challenge hehe. Too bad there is no muslim clothes’ stores in brazil, so for me to buy clothes, is a sacrifice… but I can always resort to my tailor! Congratulations, everything is great! :)

I really like the outfit and it is more affordable- although I’m a little bit of a cheapskate and like to buy a bunch of cheap clothes so I think $50 for a dress is alot- but I should recondier: quality over quanity!

Love it. I fall into the same trap on Polyvore … grab a piece that looks good, only to find out that it’s couture and suddenly my cute outfit would cost thousands to duplicate exactly!

Every time an outfit is posted I don’t look at the cost I look at the pieces. Your ideas all great suggetions about to make pieces work together to form a coherent look. If interested sisters would take the time to find similar pieces in their price range they could make the outfit work in a more cost effective way for them. Continue to provide great ideas then maybe add a few inexpensive additional suggestions or substitutions. MaSalaams
