This subtle purple-striped drawstring-waist dress by Gap is today’s Adore Du Jour. What makes this dress a great Islamic clothing find is that it’s affordable, long, and loose.
To style it, I chose a lightweight wrap to provide arm coverage, dark trouser jeans (a better option for summer than heavy jeans), coordinating accessories in black and red, and a multicolored summer hijab to tie all of the colors together.

I am trying to find long sleeved shirts that are nice, kinda like t shirts, because I dont want to layer up. It gets really hot. Any ideas of stores where I could find these? i really appreciate any help!

This a great outfit for the summer, however I would wear this dress with a long shirt under it (instead of wearing a wrap shirt).
Iqra you can find great long sleeve shirts at Winners, H&M, Old Navy, Smart Sets, etc. I’m not sure where you live but those stores I list above are either Canadian or American based. Hope this helps you :)
ak I don’t think that would look great since this dress is about knee-length. If the dress was mid- thigh you would be able to pull it off. Hope that helps :)

Speakin of summer what do u hijabis where to go swimmin? I see some ppl where any random clothes or hijab or i see them where this hijabi swimsuit made by egyptions but some people “say” its not modest enough I think its ok . what about u guys?

I go to the beach in a long cotton woven dress and a cotton scarf. I don’t swim at the beach, just get my feet wet.
I am lucky that I have always had access to a pool for exercise that had women’s only swimming, either at the Y or at someone’s house.

I dig the dress with long sleeve wrap, a must for summer. I wear some longer than knee and above knee dresses over long skirts.
For swimming there are plenty of hijabi friendly swimsuits these days. I had to stick with wet suits for years and women’s only pools. I seem to live in cooler areas lately where people are always wearing jackets in summer. Thank God, I don’t miss 100 degrees.. Everybody’s hot then.
