MashaAllah I love this magazine and people's comments are just so inspiring, good work :)
I like the haute hijabi styles as well ^^

Concerning the Hijab being an obstacle to getting a job, let me tell you something; if you are having difficulties finding a job because of your hijab then you are not looking for the right job for you and the one that would please Allah (swt). Indeed, the companies that have an issue with the hijab are usually very superfical and materialistic companies that have monney and business orientated values. But as true muslim women, we don't want to work for those kind of companies, we want to work for companies that value their employees for who they are, that incourage a multicultural working environment and that strive to make the word a better place; for instance charities, schools and hospitals ... These are places that I would be proud working in and these are usually places where you find the most hijabi women. So what I would advice is to target your job search to companies that make the difference and contribute positively to the society, keep away from superficial and monney orientated places.

Having said that, from my personnal experience, after I got my Masters I looked for 3 months for a job (back then I wasn't wearing hijab) and I kept delaying the project to wear hijab for that purpose. But alhamdulilah Allah (swt) guided me and I dismissed all the fake exuses and made the first step. And the first interview I had while wearing hijab resulted in a job offer. MashaAllah!!! Allah (swt) is great and whoever gives away something for his sake, Allah (swt) will surely compensate him/her with even better.

Put you trust in Allah (swt) and you will always be successful :)

Wassalam

assalamualaikum,
i agree with Najibah that hijab is not an obstacle at all to be the reason to find a job after you graduated. it happened as well to me, I am Indonesian and I got scholarship to continue my study in Holland. After I graduated of one of university in Holland, most of people told me that is difficult for me to have a job in here especially the one who wear hijab. But after 3-4 months, i break all of people taught here that I could found a dream job that I always want. Now its been 6 months I work and nobody complain about how I look (because of the hijab). alhamdulilahh,,you can also do that Najibah.

Sumeyye, I think it is very wrong of you to accuse her of advertising. It seems like some people come on here knowing they disapprove on fashion, just to put others down. I am a new shahadah and this site is very inspiring to me. I think she is remaining in the realms of being modest. You know that modesty does not only deal with your clothes, it is who you are as a human being. We should be careful as to what we say to each other, being a friend is important to.
