Today’s ADORE DU JOUR is this vintage-inspired trench jacket by ChicStar. The length and the a-line shape toward the hem of this trench make it a great modest clothing find. But what I really love about it is it’s black and white floral print. While it would be easy to create a monochromatic outfit with this jacket, I think that wearing it with a colorful accessory would add an extra hint of loveliness and style. What do you think?

I love trench coats but i think the pattern on this one is too busy for me. Im into my bright shoes at the moment, i like the colour of the mary janes.

I’ve been thinking about buying the exact trench. It is very beautiful. The print is busy and it really because part of an outfit instead of just outerwear. Wearing it with a pop of color is a great idea! They also have it in basic colors like khaki and black but I love the print. I came across Chicstar a couple weeks a ago and I just placed a order for a vintage inspired sailor dress that I’m gonna wear as a shirt. I hope the quality is good. They also have a lovely long sleeve maxi dress but I think I’m a little too curvy to pull it off….

Valerie-i like the sailor dress your talking about, its really cute. I got really excited about a long sleeve maxi dress but I dont think the cut or the pattern looks flattering.

Adding color definetely makes this outfit unique and pop!! I tend to lean more toward mod fashions simply because black and white are 2 easy colors to mix and match but this is a fun way to add color to a the wardrobe of even the most hesitant of risk takers..nice work!

I learned from eshakti.com through this website. A sister had recommended it. They have BEAUTIFUL things, and they can customize most of the pieces to suit our needs. Like if you like a skirt, but it’s short, they can make it anklelength. They have beautiful maxis…some our still kinda loud, but they have some nice ones too…they have a black, and an animal print. I love the animal print it is allover but it is still subtle. I ordered one that is more muted tones with olive green and pinks….look for it under the ARTISTRY tab… tell me what you think..I got a olive cardigan to go with it…I also got another dress under the same section, but I’m gonna wear it as a tunic…it is a pink tye die linen dress…they are gonna put some sleeves on it..I think it will be adorable with jeans or white pants. I will let you know how they turn out…Anyway check it out, they have very beautiful clothes and the maxis are very nice. You might find one that you fancy.In fact the fuschia one that is featured on Amani’s, the haute hijabi, look a like look is there for a few bucks cheaper. One more thing, if you go to that website, they have a link on the main page at the bottom it says new to eshaki? save $15 .. You sign up and then they send a gift certificate, I think..
